This simple trick you probably can be huge to defy the expectations of your listeners.

This is the principle:

1) Pick a simple key (C Major, D Major, etc).
2) Make a four chord progression.
3) Avoid using the root chord in your progression.
4) Take that as the starting base to a new song!
