In this lesson, I’m going to show you how to improvise engaging ambient guitar modal vamps using the Dorian and the Lydian modes.

We’re going to learn how to map out the whole fretboard with those modes, how to build chords that highlight the modes and how to create super cool sounding modal sequences. And we’ll re-use everything we’ve learned to make awesome modal improvisations over an ambient guitar drone.
