In this guitar lesson, I’m going to show you how to disguise chords into other chords.
We also call that concept ‘’reharmonization’’.
We take a simple triad, like D Major, and add new content at the bottom of the chord instead of stacking on top. And with that technique we can transform our D Major chord into Bm7, Gmaj9 or even Em11.
I’m also going to study how I improved the chord progression in my song ‘’My Deepest Secret’’ by applying the ‘’stack-at-the-bottom’’ or ‘’chord disguise’’ concept.
